We date this important work to circa 1860

Beautiful pastoral work a nod back to classic Arcadia

In the foreground children play by the river

In the background we can see a classic Norman church

Although we do not know the artist we believe the setting to be Norfolk, England due to the flatness of the landscape and the river settings

Over six feet - 195 CM - wide so good size

Original gilt frame also a work of art in its own right
