David Thomas Robertson 1879-1952 .Of Scottish parentage,Robertson was born in Sunderland,County Durham.He became a self taught artist mainly painting landscapes.He was a friend of John Atkinson and shared his partiality for animal subjects,particularly in rural settings.Exhibited in the Laing Gallery Newcastle and the the Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolour.’Farmer feeding Sheep in the Snow’ signed watercolour image size 42x50cms, framed size 66x72cms.Nicely presented in a period style frame and wash line mount.
