A fine and decorative oil on canvas depicting a woman with a red headscarf. The work is done very much in the style of post impressionism with the use of bold colours and thick impasto paint. The painting is signed but only by monogram which I have been unable to identify. The work has been professionally cleaned and is in good condition with one old repair. There is some remnant of old artist label on the reverse. The work is framed in a modern gilt frame which is in good condition and works very well with the painting. The whole has a great look and is ready to hang.
