Description

This is a charming early 19th century embossed painting of a spaniel beautifully posed, standing alert in a pretty flower meadow. The embossed nature of the piece gives the work a good depth and quality. The picture is hand painted in watercolours and is initialled by the artist to the right corner of the work.

A very attractive and unusual piece of work dating from around 1830.

It is smartly framed in a later giltwood frame that compliments the work.

The frame measures 28 cms by 25 cms with the image being 13 cms by 10 cms.
