18th/early 19th century oil on canvas portrait of a lady dressed as Diana the Huntress holding a bow and arrow, a dog by her side, housed in a gilt frame.
The size overall is 65 cm x 54 cm whilst the image is 48cm x 39cm
In fully restored condition, it has been re-lined, cleaned and conserved in the 1960''s or 70''s
There is a small area of restoration (Approx. 2 cm ) to the right background which can be seen in certain lights but does not detract in any way from this fine piece which has been very well executed.
The frame is original to the painting thus shows some signs of wear commensurate with age
