Description

An early 20thC signed and dated oil on canvas, portrait of a gentleman clearly unhappy with his hairdresser ! The painter H Bogaert probably Belgian and dated 1906. Very well executed, the eyes in particular. The sitters expression provokes comment from whomever sees it......it is a real talking point. Certainly the subject must have been a character of note and felt a portrait was justified or did his spouse or relative insist upon it ?
