Victorian Watercolour Portrait Of A Military Officer

A fine and interesting watercolour portrait of a gentlemen in full military uniform. The portrait is done in full length profile and the detail both of the figure and the uniform is superb. The painting is very bright and unfaded but the paper has rippled and there are some slight marks. The work has been later mounted in this oval frame and mount probably around 1900. A very decorative and unusual work that is ready to hang. C.1840.
