Small Welsh Oak Dresser with Potboard Base, Circa 1770

Description

An exceptionally small and fine quality oak dresser. The top section has a bold cornice above three plate shelves with wide boards to the back, over a base section with three drawers above a shaped apron and central silhouette leg flanked by half-silhouette legs, united by a potboard and raised on stile feet. There are two rows of handmade wrought iron hooks.

Excellent colour and surface patination.

(Replaced handles and possibly hooks)

Plates excluded.
