Description

An elegant floral still life of carnations in a blue vase, dating from the art nouveau period (circa 1900). While the painting bears a trace of a monogram or signature at the lower right, I have not able to identify the artist. French in origin, the oil on canvas measures 38 x 55cm.

The painting has been restored and presents some wear and tear. There is repair to the verso and minor unevenness in the surface.

It is presented in a beautiful wooden carved frame dating from the art deco period, which gives the painting a very modern, timeless feel. The overall framed size is 74 x 57 cm.
