Several of his works can be found in museums including a self-portrait from 1861, which hangs in his hometown.
Carl Tiebler’s son, Georg Teibler (1854-1911), was also a painter and in 1877 he created a portrait of his father.
The painting is housed within a later frame, signed/dated, and inscribed on the reverse.
