Fine Victorian Still Life Oil Painting

A fine and decorative still life oil on oak panel. A beautifully worked still life with a typically romantic feel and delicate touch. The painting has wonderful cabbage roses behind a mound of fruit which unusually includes a quince and a fig, while at the side stands a half full cordial glass. The painting is signed and dated to the lower left, sadly the signature is illegible however the date is 1877. The painting is in excellent condition and is framed in a vintage heavy gilt frame that has a bit of age and wear to it which works very well with the piece. The whole has a great decorative look and is ready to hang.
