Oil Painting of Kate Kearney an Irish Beauty

A fine and charming oil on canvas depicting Kate Kearney a famous Irish beauty. The painting is very competently painted capturing the figure in a difficult pose with a wonderful expression. The painting is signed by monogram ‘R.F’ and ascribed on the reverse to Ruby Fairweather with the date 1914. I am unable to identify the artist and it is possible they were Irish. The painting is in good untouched condition. The work has been framed in a period gilt frame which is Art Nouveau in design. The oval slip is modern and has been made specifically for the work. The whole has a great romantic look and is ready to hang.
