Victorian Oil Painting by B.l.williams

A charming oil on artist board depicting a river landscape with watermill. A typically bucolic scene with cows in the river, mountainous landscape in the background and figures at work in the watermill. The painting does not appear to be signed on the front but does have an attribution on the reverse and date of B.L.Williams 1853. The painting is in very good untouched condition. The work is mounted in the original fine quality gilt frame, again in good country house condition with one or two old repairs. The whole has a great decorative period look and is ready to hang.
