Description

A pair of signed and dated oil paintings on canvas. One signed W Briar lower left and dated. Both in glazed black lacquer plaster frames, under glass and one titled on verso. Slight reflectiveness on images this is due to glazing and not damage. Both frames have original gilt slips. The frames were both chipped and have been cleaned and restored. Paintings undamaged. Very interesting style with lots of impasto work, a very well executed and quite charming pair of paintings. Dimensions including frames 45 x 55.
