Description

19th Century Watercolour Signed S T Dadd. A very fine Watercolour by a British listed Artist Stephen Dadd.
The painting is by the highly sought after British artist Stephen T Dadd. The painting features a most detailed study of a seated dog looking at a cat and a Magpie fighting over a worm.
Stephen T Dadd was born in Poplar, Middlesex, England in 1859; he came from a family of artists. He was a specialist painter of dogs; interestingly his occupation is listed in the 1881 census as an ‘Artist Animal Painter’.
