Description

A large landscape by J S Gresley (1829-1908), signed lower leftand dated 1881. The original gilt frame is of high quality plaster work with oil and water gilding which are original no painted gold finish .Fisherman by a river with cattle grazing and abbey ruins in the background. The colours are unfaded paper is flat. A couple of spot marks are visible. On the whole this is a fine watercolour, well framed and in original condition. Slight reflection on the glass. Overall dimensions are 92 cm x 115cm x cm. As usual no digital enhancement of colours.
