A large easy-going impressionistic landscape painting by Danish artist, William E Johnsen (b.1886). Three women are working in the fields during harvest-time before a beautiful range of Italian mountains.

The painting is signed William E Johnson, which could relate to the painter, Erik William Johnson (1886-1948).

Medium: Oil on canvas

Overall size: 40” x 20” / 102cm x 74cm

Year of creation: c. 1920

Provenance: Sweden

Condition: Craquelure in areas. Canvas relined. Stretchers replaced. Some minor paint losses.
