Pair of Still Life Oil Paintings by a Bonnefoy

A fine pair of still life oils on pine panels. The pair depict different elements representing the arts and culture with various fabulous historical items. The paintings are beautifully done, in almost miniature, with a great use of colour. Each painting is signed A. Bonnefoy and dated 1876. There are various artists with the Bonnefoy name and therefore it is difficult to exactly attribute the paintings. The pair of panels have been professionally cleaned and are in excellent condition. The paintings are mounted in the original superb quality gilt frames. The frames would have been hugely expensive and of the best quality, they have had some repair. One frame has unfortunately warped slightly due to the pine wood used in the construction, and is out of square. The pair are hugely decorative with a great country house look and are ready to hang.
