Victorian Oak Stick Barometer

Description

A handsome and impressive mid/late Victorian oak STICK BAROMETER in full working order. By James Gargory of Birmingham. This good barometer is typical of the "high" Victorian period with its large mercury column; heavily carved finial and similarly carved cistern cover. It is signed to the glazed register plates and features a long thermometer to the trunk and original bone keys. 40ins (102cms) high overall.
