Jason Clarke Antiques has dated this piece to the 1940s.
With black plastic pointer and brass set pointer which can be hand operated from the front of the instrument.
This super looking barometer can be either desk or wall mounted.
There is little information to be found on the Weathercraft Company. My inclination is to suggest that this it is of American manufacture but nevertheless, the design makes it an interesting and very unusual example. A similar barometer was included in the renowned collection of the late Edwin Banfield who wrote numerous insightful guides on the subject.
