Description

Edwin Bottomley 1865-c1929.Landscape and animal painter; several addresses in the north including Whitby and Harrogate; exhibited mainly at the Royal Cambrian Academy where he showed 64 works,and also at the Walker Art Gallery,Liverpool and the Manchester City Art Gallery.’ Returning Home at the End of the Day’ signed watercolour,dated 1914; image size 44x28 cms,framed size 71 x53.5 cms.Bottomley was an excellent painter of rural scenes in watercolour and we also have a larger example ,painted with a similar subject ,by this artist in stock.
