Small Georgian Landscape Oil Painting

A small Georgian period, oil on canvas laid down on pine board. The painting shows a typically Arcadian looking landscape with a shepherd and his sheep resting in the foreground. The painting is certainly of an early date and at least eighteenth century if not earlier. The work has been lightly cleaned and is in good original condition. The painting has been framed in a Victorian period frame, probably when it was laid to the pine board. The frame is in good untouched country house condition. A great little decorative period work. C.1780.
