A very nice painting by Thomas John Coates Born: 1941 in Birmingham

He was an RA Schools student from 15 January 1962 to June 1964

Studied at the Royal Academy Schools.

He was awarded several prizes and scholarships during his time as a student. Since then he has been elected member of many prestigious art societies in the UK and abroad and has won many awards.

He is a Former President of Royal Society of British Artists and the Pastel Society. He works in oil, watercolour and pastel in the spontaneous English tradition. Has exhibited widely having many solo exhibitions, and mixed shows. This is presented in very nice condition and ready to hang.
