A fine pair of marine oil on canvas paintings. The two scenes both show boats at sea, one does have the title ''Flukes'' on the reverse. The two are competently painted and are signed with the monogram ''C.M'' which I have been unable to assign to a particular artist. The paintings have both been professionally cleaned and some very minor spots of paint loss touched in, the two are in excellent condition. The paintings have been later mounted in a pair of period gilt frames, the frames have been over gilded and have areas of old repair. The frames are in good worn condition, a bit tired, but actually work very well with the paintings. The pair have a great period decorative look and are ready to hang.
