Oil Painting Of A Cavalier By Thomas Mackay

A fine and detailed oil on board study of a cavalier by Thomas Mackay. The painting is worked with expert detail and a wonderful use of colour. The work is signed to the lower left and dated 1909. Thomas Mackay exhibited between 1893-1912 mainly at the Walker Gallery in Liverpool but also three times at the Royal Academy. The painting is in excellent condition and is mounted in the original gilt frame also in excellent condition. The whole is ready to hang.
