Fabulous George I Oak Dresser base of the most wonderful untouched colour and patina, with boldly shaped arched apron. The drawers and arches with cross grained cherrywood banding, the arch having a bead applied to the edge, the drawer fronts finished with a lip mould, this feature was made fashionable in the George I period. The turned legs to the front and square ones to the back are in excellent condition and are without repair. The ends are of the superior panelled construction, the handles replaced with good period examples.
It has a wonderful top of good thick section boards. One drawer bottom has been replaced some time ago, the Dresser is in remarkably original condition overall. Circa 1715.
