Framed Oil on Canvas Portrait of an English Gentleman

Description

We are proud to offer this very handsome oil portrait on canvas within a large gilded frame.

The subject is Douglas Houston CBE Solicitor to the Duchy of Lancaster and advisor to George 6th. Born 11th October 1851.

The quality of this painting is just superb. Clearly shown is the kindly face along with the gold watch chain and monocle. A man of substance and fairness one would imagine. The background shows bookcases.

The painting is in excellent condition and ready to hang. The frame is also in very good condition.

Inspection welcome. Delivery by Courier. Please ask for a quote.
