Description

An atmospheric early 20th-century oil on canvas depicting the view from a wood under the last of the day’s sunlight. The light and shade are very nicely rendered with the trees almost seeming to shimmer.

It’s been painted in an impressionistic style and you can imagine the artist enjoying this peaceful spot while creating it.

Signed in the lower right.
