Antique Seascape, Dutch School, Fishermen on the Lake

Description

An attractive Dutch oil painting depicting three fishermen rowing on a large lake beneath a beautiful cloudy sky. In the distance, you can see a small crop of buildings set within a typically flat Dutch landscape.

The painting is housed within a later vintage frame and inscribed on the reverse. There appears to be a reference to the artist - perhaps B Van Der Duik or similar.

Medium: Oil on board

Size including frame: 17” x 12” / 43cm x 31cm

Year of creation: 1919

Provenance: Holland

Overall very good. The board has a slight bow but otherwise fine. Frame with age-related wear.
