Brave Fine Art has dated this piece to the 1940s.
He seemed particularly drawn towards peaceful corners whereby light would cascade down a wall or across an item of furniture.
His interior scenes are quiet, subtle and devoid of people and I do wonder whether he was continually painting his own home. His landscapes are also modest and tend to include animals rather than figures.
Perhaps his choice of subject suggests a reclusive character often lost within his own imagination. The Danes have a strong reputation for gentle interior scenes and he’s certainly from very good stock indeed.
The painting is housed within what appears to be its original frame.
