Frederick Dade "Off the Yorkshire Coast" Oil Painting

Description

Frederick Dade was born in Scarborough in 1874. Along with other important artists of the time he studied at Scarborough School of Art under Albert Strange and was among the prizewinners in 1891 and 1892. He carried on working and exhibiting in this area and also has pictures in important collections including London's National Maritime Museum.

The present picture is a quality oil painting on canvas measuring 10"x 11". It is signed lower left and dated (18)99. It is framed in a good hand finished English frame giving an overall size of 15"x 16".
