Description

An interesting late Victorian or Edwardian OIL PAINTING on panel, which depicts an interior scene.

Continental (probably German) it depicts a young woman knitting whilst sitting in her kitchen and being ‘courted’ by two young men who have apparently been out hunting. Beautifully painted with a view through the window of a garden outside, and with glasses, decanters and tankards arranged on the dresser behind her. Signed: Ernst Kolbe, Munchen. 20 x 16ins including the frame.
