Description:
The dresser boasts narrow proportions, making it ideal for a narrow space, or in a hallway. The dresser features an open delft rack, with three grooved horizontal racks that can support plates. To the top of the rack there is a lovely moulded protruding cornice. The rack slots onto the dresser base in a mortice-and-tenon arrangement. There are brackets to screw the rack against the wall, to secure it in place. The dresser base boasts a solid moulded two-plank oak top, with a bead moulded frame below, incorporating three fully working drawers. The drawers are oak lined, hand dovetailed and close flush to the frame. The drawers boast their original brass handles, backplates and escutcheons. The left-hand and centre drawers retain their original working locks, with working key, while the right-hand drawer features a faux keyhole, having never been fitted with a lock, originally. Further below, the dresser base boasts moulded decoration and the base stands on the original squared legs. This dresser boasts its original polish and patination, displaying a mellow golden-brown oak colour, which has been created from 200 years of care.

Condition Report:
The dresser is in excellent original condition, considering its age. The base and rack are original to each other and are not a marriage. Nominal old use marks to the top of the dresser and leading edges, but nothing significant considering the age of the item. The drawers retain their original brass swan neck handles, backplates and escutcheons. The left-hand and centre drawers feature their original working locks, with working key, while the right-hand drawer was never originally fitted with a lock and has a faux keyhole. All drawers and doors are in good working condition. The drawer linings and legs are all original. The dresser boasts the original polish; therefore, it has a fantastic depth of colour and patination displaying a lovely mellow golden-brown oak colour. This item is solid in joint and ready to use.
