Nineteenth Century Landscape Oil Painting

A fine and early oil on oak panel depicting a busy landscape with river. The painting shows a river with bridge and a small boat, there is an interesting circular building on the banks and figures. The painting is not signed but this is not unusual for this type of early provincial painting. The work retains the original fine quality gilt frame with original gilding and just the right amount of wear. The whole has a great period look and decorative appeal. It is in very good condition, it has has a slight professional clean, and is ready to hang. C.1820.
