Influenced by Turner and like him fond of painting Venetian scenes.Had a studio in

Whitby for many years.Exhibited 1880-1914 at RA,RI,the Royal Society of Artists,Birmingham

and elsewhere,’Shipping Scene’ signed watercolour; image size 51.5x72 cms; framed size

75x94 cms.A most impressive and atmospheric watercolour.
