As part of our Japanese works of art collection we are delighted to offer this unusual Edo period ( 1615-1868) Wooden & Lacquer Netsuke , circa 1800 it depicts the comical but well known subject of the blind masseur working his skills on a seated clients shoulders , this nicely carved Netsuke has been partially lacquered to highlight the characters clothing , a very tactile and well used Netsuke from the later part of the 18th century , a great addition to your Japanese Netsuke or works of art collection.
