George Stubbs "Three Rare Sporting Prints"

This interesting group of three mezzotints after George Stubbs were among a group of Mezzotints by George Townley Stubbs which were published between 1789 and 1793 by John Harris and George Townley Stubbs, the son of George Stubbs. "Horse and Dog" and "Two Horses" were originally published as a pair, "Stallion and Mare" was published singly. On the reverse is some information on the mezzotints indicating the scarcity of the colour printed state of each of these old prints. Each is framed in a good period style frame giving an overall size of 15"x 18" for each picture.
