Superb Oil Painting of a Girl in a Doorway

A superb quality oil on canvas of a girl standing in a doorway looking out as her mother is sewing inside. A wonderfully detailed work in the romantic school of painting, I love the pot on the lower left and the basket hanging in the doorway. The painting does not appear to be signed but the canvas dates it to the very early Victorian period. The work is in excellent condition and has been professionally cleaned. The painting is mounted in a period gilt frame which could possibly be the original, it is in excellent untouched condition with original gilding. The whole is a fine work of it's type and in superb condition, and ready to hang. C.1840.
