A fine oil on panel landscape scene of a Summer landscape with village and people working the fields. The painting is beautifully done and captures a charming scene of men scything a crop full of wild flowers, a figure can also be seen ploughing in the distance. The painting is only signed by monogram to the lower right and I have been unable to identify the artist, It is painted on professional artist board. The painting has been professionally cleaned and is in excellent condition. The work is mounted in a gilt slip with silvered frame both are in good original worn condition. The whole has a great look and is ready to hang. C.1900.
