An absolutely charming country scene, depicting a mother and child enjoying a rest, having gathered flowers. Dated 1847 (or 1844), this pastel on paper has a trace of signature (Fanny G........) at the lower right which I have not been able to identify.

Measuring 35 x 27 cm, the overall framed size is 39 x 31 cm.
