This is a set of six monochrome etchings of cherubs dating from the 19th century which were corner designs for features in the gallery of Mazarin Palace on Quirinal Hill in Rome. The etchings, after Petrus Antonius Cotta (17th/18th Century) and after Guido Reni (1575 -1642), depict pairs of cherubs in various poses engaged with flowers and foliage. The etchings each measure 28 cms by 20cms. They have smart mounts and simple rubbed gilt wood frames which suit them well, measuring 32cms by 40 cms.
