Edward Henry Holder "The Woodland Stream" Oil Painting

Description

Edward Henry Holder was born in Scarborough and later moved to London. He exhibited his work, mostly landscapes and coastal scenes, from 1864 to 1893 at Suffolk Street and at the Royal Academy. His paintings are now with the Russell-Cotes Museum and Art Gallery, Exeter City Council, Victoria and Albert Museum, Sunderland Museum and Art Gallery and York City Art Gallery.

The present painting is an oil on board measuring 16" x 21". It is framed in a quality gilt frame giving an overall size of 21"x 27". It is signed lower left and dated 1880.
