A characterful early 20th-century portrait of a bearded older gentleman with Parisian provenance. With his deep-set eyes, furrowed brow, and slightly forlorn expression, he’s a man that certainly lived a life.

Little is known about the artist, Y Merigault, but they’ve captured the gentleman’s expression with a great deal of skill.

Signed and dated 1921 in the lower left.
