Fine Pair of Italian Landscape Oil Paintings

A fine and very decorative pair of Italian landscape oils on panel in wonderful original gilt frames. The pair both show typical Italian scenes with mountains in the distance, scatterings of buildings, and rivers in the foreground. The pair are not signed but this is not unusual for this type of painting, which were often produced for sale to those visiting Italy. The quality is very good and the detail superb for quite small works. The pair have both been professionally cleaned and are in excellent condition. The paintings are mounted in the original pair of Italian gilt frames which are in excellent untouched condition with all the original gilding. The pair make a beautiful group and have a great country house decorative appeal. C.1890.
