Still Life Oil Painting of Anemones

A charming and decorative oil on canvas painting of an anemone plant. A fine work almost like a botanical illustration, it shows the flowers in various aspects and positions. The painting has been professionally cleaned and small marks restored. The work is signed but by the monogram HMR making it almost impossible to identify the artist. The frame is the original, it has had some over-gilding but it is in good condition. The whole has a great light, delicate and elegant Edwardian feel to it, and simple decorative appeal. C.1900.
