19th Cent Stick Barometer

Description

Here we have an unusual mercury stick barometer by Anthony Casartelli of 43 Castle Street, Liverpool. He was also a clock maker and is listed as working there in the mid 19th Cent.

The case is in oak with original marbled decoration. It is in excellent condition with the graduated scales being in good condition and both max and min verniers working as they should. One adjusting knob has been replaced with a similar period item.

The tube is intact and the barometer is working as it should, however it may need calibrating.

The maximum dimensions are:

18cm(7“) wide

100cm(39.5“) high

7.5cm(3“) deep
