A fine oil on artists board landscape of Ullswater in the Lake District. The painting is of extremely high quality but is not signed, it is very much in the manner of other works depicting this lake by Turner and others. Ullswater was a favourite subject of the Romantic period. The painting is titled on the reverse. The painting has been professionally cleaned and is in excellent untouched condition. The painting is framed in a period gilt frame that is again in good untouched condition with the usual slight knocks etc. commensurate with age. The whole has a great period look, and country house design appeal. C.1850.
