Brave Fine Art has dated this piece to the 19th Century.
During these fledgling years, his works were often full of joy and beautiful dapples of light.
As his career progressed, his brushwork became finer and more formal, perhaps due to his training at the Royal Danish Academy. During his time there, he studied under Otto Bache (1839-1927) and Frants Henningsen (1850-1908), who were both realists.
It’s interesting to note how he returned to an impressionistic style towards the end of his career. Perhaps the artistic freedom of this approach was an aspect he always enjoyed.

Condition: Artwork in good condition with no major issues. The frame has a dent on the left-hand side but still hangs perfectly well.
