Description

A charming and fresh little summer landscape with wheat fields. Dating from circa 1930, it has an element of art deco style to it. Under the fold of the frame, the painting is signed 'Muller' which unfortunately is too frequent a surname to help identify the artist.

Almost as nice as the painting is the dedication on the back of it. It reads: "Modeste gage d'un amour éternel. A Hetty pour la vie ....ce 21 avril 1933" (a modest token of my eternal love. To Hetty, for life....April 21, 1933".

An oil on artist's board, the painting measures 19 x 24 cm. In a good later frame, the overall size is 30 x 35 cm.
