Artist: William Manners R.B.A. (1865-1940)

Title: "Homeward Bound, Sunset". Horse and cart returning home.

Medium: Oil on canvas.

Signed and dated 1907.

Contained in it's original gilt swept frame.

In good ready to hang condition. Free UK delivery.

Size: 16"x 24'' ( size in inches).

Overall framed size: 26"x 34".

An exceptionally fine example of Manners' oil painting skills depicting a Lake District scene.

William Manners R.B.A. (1865-1940).

William Manners was born in Bradford and was a self taught artist. His oils and watercolours usually depict rural scenes and he had a very distinctive style. Later in life Manners moved to the Lake District which also proved to be a great inspiration to him. He exhibited widely and was elected a member of the R.B.A in 1893.
